Built To Spill


























Formed by Doug Martsch in the early 90's while he was still in the band Treepeople. Doug is one of the best rock guitarist of the 90/00's (sandwiched right between J. Mascis and Stephen Malkmus). Built To Spill was influenced by Dinosaur Jr., Neil Young, and Pavement so you know they're gonna fucking slay. Noodley guitar lines married with spacey jams and great pop-hooks. Keep It Like A secret is still my favourite album by these guys, but seriously, every album is great. The new one, There Is No Enemy, has a great tribute song to Pat Brown (Treepeople's bassist) who committed suicide, and is one of the best songs I heard in 09.
