After Wax broke-up, Joe Sib started writing songs with his friend Steve Soto (as in the Steve Soto of The Adolescents and Agent Orange fame) and the two soon realized that they had the makings of a really great partnership. They had the tunes, the next step was to get a dynamite band. On this recording Scott Shiflett played bass, replacing former member Matt Riddle (just like he did in Face To Face), Jason Cropper (formerly of Weezer) played guitar, and Sandy Hansen (of the Adolescents) played drums.
