AFI started out as a Bay Area hardcore band, who over time added more gothic/horror elements (borrowing heavily from one Mr. Glenn Danzig). All of these releases are killer, but Shut Your Mouth... is still my favourite release of theirs; It's tight, heavy and very melodic. After The Art Of Drowning was released I stopped caring about this band. I can honestly say that I've never heard any of their three major label albums (besides the god-awful singles). The Black Sails EP contains the rad song Who Knew? and was limited to only 5000 copies worldwide (making it one of AFI's rarest releases).
