Alternative band made famous by the song "Stars" off the You'd Prefer An Astronaut album. The radio station 89X out of Windsor, Ontario used to play the hell out of that song and it always stood out when sandwiched between bands like Bush and Silverchair. On Fillet Show Hum sounded like a noisier Fugazi. Fillet Show is also the only album with vocalist Andy Switzky. From Electra 2000 on Hum sounds like a mix of Sunny Day Real Estate and The Smashing Pumpkins with the heaviness of the Deftones. Their swan song Downward Is Heavenward is hands-down their best album.
