RKL could have and should have been one of the biggest punk bands of all time. They are definitely the best band ever on Mystic Records (they're like the rose that grew out of a pile of shit) and they prove it on these recordings. These recordings only hint at the greatness that was to come.
A little known fact about this record is that Bomber wrote all the songs (music and lyrics), on top of that he also pulled double duty playing both bass and drums. This is considered their best stuff, and it was definitely ahead of its time. The LP came with a full color comic book drawn by Dan Sites that is totally rad.
After Bomber quit in the middle of the Reactivate European tour the band flew in original vocalist Jason Sears to finish the shows. That chain of events set the stage for Riches To Rags, which is in my opinion their best record. Every song is a banger, even the country interlude. If you passed on every other RKL album I've posted, thats fine, but you're blowing it big time if you don't get this one. It's the best thing Epitaph records has ever released. Ever.
