Heatmiser was a 90's alternative/grunge band formed by Neil Gust and Elliott Smith. The interesting thing with Heatmiser was that most of the pop-oriented songs were penned and sung by Elliott Smith in stark contrast to his solo work. While the music was sometimes poppy in Heatmiser the lyrical subject was often quite dark. If you have even a passing interest in the work of Elliott Smith I would suggest you grab these albums.
