Great Bay-area melodic punk band. Originally signed to New Red Archives records, they were a Gilman St. mainstay in the late 80's/early 90's. Always a little more rock than punk the band signed to a major label around the same time as Green Day. After they failed to sell millions of records they were dropped by their label and continued to release albums on indie labels (Hopeless and Burning Heart) for another decade. They are still somewhat active, but they rarely tour or play live anymore. Everything they ever did was awesome, even touring with Candlebox.

ReplyDeleteI love this band ... the highlight for me was seeing them open for Creed at the State Theatre in Detroit in '97 I think. They were so fucking good and I was up against the front rail singing along to every word while everyone around me kept saying "who are these guys?", "are they almost finished?", etc. The best part was pushing my way out of the crowd as soon as they finished and leaving the venue before Crud even started setting up. Awesome.
