This early 90's Glaswegian power pop band sounds just like Big Star. Gumball's Don Fleming produced Bandwagonesque, which was their commercial and critical breakthrough (in America at least). This album beat out both Nirvana's "Nevermind" and My Bloody Valentine's "Loveless" in the 1991 Spin magazine year end poll.
It is a great record. That and Grand Prix (which is also very good) are the only two Teenage Fanclub records I own. Are the others as good? Do you know?
